Music Director - Ian Russell
Ian is an accomplished musician having learned to play the violin, piano and horn whilst at Bedales School from whence he went to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he specialised in horn, composition and piano. After a spell with the Royal Ballet Orchestra, he moved to Cardiff as a founder member of the Welsh National Opera Orchestra. After a long service there he continued his musical career as a free lance player with many famous orchestras and as a music teacher and examiner. He has also proven himself to be a master Master of Ceremonies in our concerts.
Accompanist - Rosemarie Lewis
Rosemarie has spent all her life in the Forest of Dean. She began studying piano at the age of 5. She completed all the external examinations of the Victoria College of Music, gaining her diploma at the age of 18. Rose plays the organ at the local church and has helped with everything musical at Primrose Hill School for many years. Rose also helps her husband Clive with his young brass band pupils playing for them at concerts and examinations, all of which adds up to a busy, but full life, doing what Rosemarie enjoys most – making music.
Clive and Rosemary will occasionaly add colour to our concerts with cornet and piano double acts!
